Malia's Quilt

Last night I finished her quilt... I started it last spring when I did not know what I was having and had just the binding to finish. I had done the binding once and it looked horrible, so I ripped it and and this week I got the courage to try it again... six months after my daughter was born. It looks great, yes I could pick out its mistakes and there are many, but that is what makes it unique.

Dear Nurse:

Just because breastfeeding is not the norm here some mothers do still choose to breast feed. if you look back at my daughter records it will tell you she was breast fed at her one week check, two month check and four month check, there is a pretty good chance that she is still breastfed at her six month check and asking what kind of formula I give her and like a slap in my face. Just a suggestion, ask whether she is breast fed or formula fed and then go on from there, do not assume, it pisses me off.

Thank you for you understanding,
Angela

Toys, Toys, Toys

I have four children which equals lots of toys. I have always loved the toys organized... I had a box for the baby toys, bins on a shelves for the small toys that could be grouped together (little people, Mr. Potato Head, cars, etc.) and then a divided toys box for the big toys that do not fit in the bins (big trucks, Nerf guns and other big toys). My kids on the other hand do not think that is the way they should be organized. They have a which ever place is closest type of organizing style... it truly drives me crazy, but I think I am learning that it is better then tripping over them at 5 in the morning. Oh the differences, I to use to have that way of organizing so I think that there is hope that they too will find putting each of there toys in their own special place fun one day, hehe:)

Kitchen Tip

I stay out of the kitchen as much as possible, but here is a tip I started doing when I make muffins. I butter them right away. I take a sliver of butter and make a slice across the top of the muffin. Stick the butter down into the muffin and let it melt away. If they are not eated right away, it is easy to pop it into the microwave and reheat it with the butter already in it.

Four Generations...

We had this picture taken this weekend at my sister's baby shower. I have been meaning to have this taken since my first daughter was born and am very glad I was able to get it done this weekend.

Wordless Wednesday

I was trying to get a picture to show off her cute new diaper... I got this super cute picture of her. The diaper is Kissaluv's new one size fitted diaper that I won from The Cloth Diaper Whisperer.

5 Week Count Down...

Five weeks! I am so excited... My husband and I are taking our kids on their first plane ride from chilly MN to hopefully warm and sunny SC. We get to spend time with some great friends down there.

I have not been to the ocean in over five years. In the last five years our trips have been to SD and MN, yup that is it... I can stand the middle of this country, but it does not even compare to the coast. There is just something about that big vast of water and the warm weather.

Ton-O-Fun

We went and played at an indoor playground last Thursday, the kids loved it and it was a great way to burn some of that steam off from being stuck in the house all winter.

No Peepers Here...

We drink pop in our house and to keep the empty pop cans off the counter I started putting them in the window. They usually get taken out before they add up to this, but this week this is how it ended up... a covering for the window, don't have to worry about anyone looking in, hehe, to bad it is just our garage out that window.
