Christmas Makings...

I could not show some of these before Christmas due to them being presents, but I though I would share some of the gifts I made this year. I for got to take pictures of all of them.
I made these for some of my gifts this year. They had different names and saying of course. They were 8x10s and put into a thin bordered frame.
Here we have 12 pairs of pajama pants, 8 appliquéd t-shirts and a high-chair cover I made for my sister. The pajamas were given as gifts and the high-chair cover was for an old wooden high chair that was in need of some cushion. I later made the second high chair cover for her other high chair.

I also made fleece I spy bags, crayon rolls and make-up bags to give as other presents (those were the ones I forgot to get pictures of). They turned out great. I used a mixture of tutorials, I found on the web. Pick out what I liked about each one, added my take on it and came up with some great presents. I will defiantly be making more of them and hopefully remembering to take pictures. I also whipped up some cup cozies, but those were more of a distraction job for me then anything. They also turned out great after a few changes.

Christmas Check List...

As Christmas creeps closer and closer I thought I should make and list and check it twice. I feel good that I have completed enough and should not have a mad rush Christmas eve. I have also managed to make all the gifts given to Todd's side of the family and about half of my side. Next year I might have to try for 80% of gifts made, but I am going to have to find some more great ideas for that to happen or learn to knit.

Animals!

I was trying to get a picture of the dog and cat for our Christmas cards... this was the best I got. They were not happy with what I was doing and Malia was not happy I was not taking a picture of her. I got a good laugh after the fact, but it did not make it to our card.

Our Christmas Pictures

Here are some of our Christmas Pictures. We had Santa come visit us Christmas eve.

Gabriel was all laughs the whole time...

Logan was very scared of Santa. He clung to my lap the whole time he was in the house and my brother tried to get him to sit on his lap and well you can see how well that worked.

Hailey was very excited to be getting a present and did not mind Santa at all.

Malia did not mind either. She snuggled right up into his beard.

Gift Ideas

Here are a couple gift ideas I am doing this year...

The first is a homemade kitchen gift of Vanilla Chai mix and Cranberry Almond Biscotti. What a great combo.

My husbands family buys cheep gifts for everyone. In doing that it can add up so this year I made up family bags. I took a reusable grocery bag and filled it with: $10 movie rental GC, 3 boxes of candy, a few candy canes, microwave popcorn, chai mix and 2-2 liters of pop. The total was about $30 less then what I would usually spend and it is something I know they will make good use of.

Our Christmas Picture

Here it is...they are all clean and sitting together. How quickly they grow up. I love taking these pictures and then looking back at years past. How we have added to our family and how our children have grown.
As gifts for the Great Grandparents I am making photo magnets. The Grandparents are getting a framed photo with each child separate and the one of them together.

Christmas Pictures

I have gotten their outfits and this weekend I want to take there picture for christmas, also there 3 month, 2.5 year, 4.5 year and 9 year pictures. I usually do not do very christmasy pictures but this year is different. I also usualy do them outside, but it is much to cold to stand out there while I am taking their picture. Our picture will just be our kids this year as I think most people really do not care to see my husband or I:) My husband will be gone all weekend deer hunting, so I will have plenty of time for our pictures. I got all of there stuff from Old Navy and it is oh so cute, yes the girls are going to match and the boys are going to match, get over it! I really hope it turns out cute. I think I have decided on a green backround and maybe some on a grey or black, but I think the green will be a little brighter.
